I made a quick dash to Cabell Marsh this afternoon to pick up the Am. White Pelicans for Benton Co.  When I was there are at 2:00PM (Sunday) there were 13 carefully counted pelicans present.  This was a higher count than an of the prior reports, unless I missed one.  There was also a small group of immature Yellow-headed Blackbirds (4-5 birds I think) giving their distinctive chatter call from the area with the dead trees on the w. side of the marsh.
