My folks and I birded around the valley for much of the morning yesterday.

Gerber Rd (N of Finley) (9AM)
NO Brewer's Sparrow
NO Grasshopper Sparrow
Many SAVANNAH SPARROWS


Cabell Marsh (10 AM)
5   A. WHITE PELICANS
N. R-W SWALLOWS

Jim and I hiked to Bruce Rd via the east flank of Pigeon Butte; 
virtually no shorebird habitat
Only a family of R-T HAWKS, a single WHITE-BREASTED NUTHATCH, some mixed 
SWALLOW flocks, and virtually nothing else

Wake Robin Dr. (12:30 PM)
1 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE (county first for us, had to happen eventually)

Willamette Park (1 PM)
GREEN HERON

Philomath Poo Ponds (3 PM)
5 CALIFORNIA GULLS (all in various ratty plumages)
1+ WESTERN SANDPIPER
5+ LEAST SANDPIPERS
Many eclipse ducks, including BLUE-WINGED and CINNAMON TEAL, MALLARD, 
RUDDY DUCK, and LESSER SCAUP.
