Three Common Nighthawks were flying close to the refuge office about an hour before sunset and two fledged juvenile American Kestrels were near the refuge shop. I also have been hearing a juvenile Great-horned Owl the last few weeks in my back yard and throughout our neighborhood in Philomath. You might try one of those harness things that people use to keep their binoculars from bouncing around. I might have an unused one in my sack of optical stuff if you can't find one. -- Alan Contreras EUGENE, OREGON acontrer@mindspring.com www.OREGONREVIEW.BLOGSPOT.COM ?
