There has been a really nice mixed flock in my yard in Powell Butte lately.

About noon today there were (in no particular order):

  White-crowned Sparrows
  Golden-crowned Sparrows
1 Fox Sparrow - been hanging around for about 3 days now
1 Hermit Thrush - New Yard bird
  1 Ruby-crowned Kinglet
  2 Yellow-rumped Warblers
  2+ Orange-crowned Warblers
  1 Spotted Towhee
  2 Northern Flickers
  Mountain Chickadees
  Pinyon Jays
  Scrub Jays
  Mourning Dove
  California Quail
  Townsend's Solitare
  House Finches
  House Sparrows

The local Cooper's Hawk gave me an awesome look yesterday. It was diving in and out of Sagebrush flushing up Sparrows. It missed though.

  Happy Birding
