Oh man......
thanks for letting us know about this, Noah. that sounds absolutely AWESOME. It is definitely tempting and something I think I might have to start saving my money for. :) :) But you can be up to 27 years old! just thought I'd clarify for everybody.

Erm, I've been lurking lately so I'll use this to introduce myself. I'm Holly, a 23-year-old birder from Eugene. I'm going to Lane Community College and hope to transfer to Oregon State University in the fall to major in either Fisheries and Wildlife or Zoology. I've been birding for about 8 years and I love to share my passion for birds, the outdoors, and conservation with others.

If you're between 19 and 22 years old, then you might consider
attending the ABA's Young Adult Birders' Conference this summer in
Borneo, Malaysia, August 4-9. It's a great way to meet other young
birders and see a ton of cool birds and places - hornbills, pittas,
sunbirds, hanging parrots, orangutans, you name it!

This is the second such conference; the first one was held two years
ago in Ecuador, where I personally saw 517 species of birds in less
than 2 weeks. I hope the birding is just as good in Asia!

Registration for this conference is less than $1,000. I'm pretty
excited about it. Here's the website for more info:

Hope to see you there!

Good birding,

Noah Strycker
