East Cascades Birding Conservancy will begin its 3rd full year of surveying
migrating raptors north of Sisters, Oregon at Green Ridge next month.
We will be surveying the last two weekends in September and the first two
weekends in October. The surveys begin at 10AM and end at 4PM.
Both experienced and novice birders alike will see large numbers of
raptors in a stunning setting. Please join us for an exciting time and
great birding.
When: September 22nd and 23rd
September 29th and 30th
October 6th and 7th
October 13th and 14th
Where: We meet at 8AM at Indian Ford Campground near Sisters, Oregon.
Indian Ford campground is 5.7 miles west of Sisters, Oregon on Hwy 20. The
survey site is about 18 miles from the campground. Carpooling is strongly
encouraged. We will do some birding on the way to Green Ridge and should
see plenty of woodpeckers, nuthatches, and sapsuckers.
If you are interested in joining us, please reply off-line and I will send
you more information and directions. You may volunteer for one day, part of
a day, or the whole weekend. THANKS.
