Hi All,
The 20th annual Oregon Shorebird Festival is being held this weekend in
Charleston, Friday-Sunday. Activities include field trips, a pelagic
trip, evening programs, and many opportunities to bird with Oregon's best
birders outside of the formal field trips. If anyone is interested, I may
have spaces available. I am driving from the Corvallis area, then most
likely via Eugene, then to Florence and down the coast. Birding stops
along the way, including Fern Ridge, S. Jetty Siuslaw, and N. Spit Coos
Bay. I may also be able to make accomodations for those travelling from
Portland Thursday night (I will be passing through in the late evening).
If anyone is interested, give my cell phone a call or reply to this email.
I most likely will be out of cell range, but leave me a voice mail--I
check this at least once a day. 541-609-1038.

As for my birding lately, I have largely been up on Mt. St. Helens working
and have had little chance for real birding. There have been a few
warbler flocks around Amboy where we stage to go up to the mountain.

Good Birding,
Karl
